+ HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO PLAY PAINTBALL IN TAS?

All participants must be at least 16 years of age to be able to play paintball. No exceptions. Any player aged 16 or 17 will require consent from a parent or guardian. You can download the required consent form by clicking the link below or, alternatively, we have consent forms available on site.

+ DO I NEED PHOTO IDENTIFICATION TO PLAY PAINTBALL?

Yes. Paintball guns are registered firearms and all players, no matter how old need to bring photo ID. Only legitimate ID that has your Name, Photo and Date of Birth on it such as your Driver's License, Passport or Proof of Age Card will be accepted unless prior arrangements are made.

+ HOW MANY PLAYERS DO I NEED IN MY GROUP TO PLAY PAINTBALL?

There is no minimum number required on the weekends. Average groups sizes are around 25 players in a group, it’s more fun the more targets you have to shoot at so if you have a smaller group you will be mixed in with others. Midweek sessions are available by appointment only and require a minimum of 8 players unless prior arrangements are made. Have all of your friends chickened out? That's no problem; you can make a booking as a solo player to play with others and you won't have to worry about hurting their feelings.

+ WILL PLAYERS IN MY GROUP ALL BE ON THE SAME PAINTBALL TEAM?

No. Some might say that it's more fun to have a chance to shoot your friends so groups are randomly mixed between the teams. This helps to level the playing field and encourages the social aspect of the sport.

+ HOW LONG DOES PAINTBALL TAKE?

We recommend allowing at least 2 hours for the entire paintball experience. Session times vary depending on how many paintballs are purchased and how trigger-happy people are.

+ ARE EFTPOS FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT THE PAINTBALL SITE?

Yes. Debit, Visa and MasterCard only

+ CAN I BRING MY OWN DRINKS TO PAINTBALL?

Yes. Your are more than welcome to bring your own drinks to have after the session, but keep in mind drinks, eskies, backpacks and bags cannot be taken out onto the playing fields. ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Once you leave the compound you are out on the playing fields for the entirety of the session, cold drinks are available for purchase on the fields in the rest areas throughout the session and can be clicked off your player tag and paid for at the end.

+ WHAT FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON SITE?

A selection of chocolate bars, chips and drinks are available for purchase on site. BBQ facilities are available to book. You will just need to bring all your own cooking/cleaning utensils.

+ CAN I WEAR GLASSES AND PLAY PAINTBALL?

Yes. Glasses will fit under the masks, though comfort level depends more on the size of your frames. If you do wear glasses, let one of our staff know and we will apply some anti-fog solution to your glasses as we do to all mask lenses to help prevent fogging.

+ WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO PAINTBALL?

Revolution Paintball provides a camouflage battle suit as part of your tactical gear hire to go over your clothes. We recommend light clothing to be worn underneath, or take as much off as you are comfortable with (with the exception of underwear). That way you have something non sweaty to put back on afterwards and it will help prevent you from overheating.

+ HOW MANY PAINTBALLS DO I NEED?

The average number of paintballs people tend to use in a session is about 600 – 900 each. Some people play with a lot more, some people less. It just varies depending on how trigger-happy you are!!

+ HOW DO I KNOW THE NUMBER OF PAINTBALLS I HAVE LEFT ON THE DAY?

Paintballs are purchased in a pack at the start of a session and are allocated to you on a player tag. You are issued with a Pod Belt that carries the paint & a number of paintballs to start with; you then collect any remaining paint throughout the session. If you purchase any extra paintballs out on the field these are also allocated to you on the player tag. Your referee can check the tag and notify you of remaining paint if you are unsure.

It is your responsibility as the player to collect and use all of your paintballs. No refund or exchange is given for unused or forgotten paint, a basic "use it or lose it" policy applies. At the end of a session any unused paint is forfeited and legally cannot be removed from the paintball venue.

+ IS PARKING AVAILABLE ON SITE AT PAINTBALL?

Yes. Revolution Paintball has parking available on all sites as well as bus parking. For Launceston, the driveway to get to the car park is via the main entrance to Glebe Gardens 166 Henry Street. Please follow the signs.

+ WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?

Our venue requests that participants are ready to take part in the activity 30 minutes prior to a designated 'start-time' to enable a full safety briefing to take place. The time stated on your confirmation is this important 'arrival time' and not the 'start time'. Our venues will do their best to accommodate late arrivals but this cannot be guaranteed, especially during busy periods. It is unlikely that customers will be allowed to participate if they have missed the pre-session briefing and safety talk. The booking will normally be treated as a cancellation in the event of late arrival with the loss of deposit.

+ EXCLUSIONS FROM THE VENUE

The venue has the right, at all times, to refuse participants access to the booked activity at any stage of the booking and remove them from their venue if in their opinion the participants are under the permitted age; are unfit to take part in the activity because of physical or mental impairment; be under the influence of alcohol or drugs; have arrived too late to take part in the pre-activity briefing; consider them to be a danger to themselves, other participants or members of staff ; or are displaying aggressive and abusive behavior (verbal or physical). If any of these occurrences apply, the booking will have been deemed to have been cancelled and full cancellation charges will apply.

Should any participant damage the property of the venue of verbally or physically injure a member of the staff or other participants, they will be dealt with by the venue management accordingly and may face prosecution by the venue. Revolution Paintball will not become involved in such matters other than to supply the necessary authorities with contact details of the offending party / parties. Any communications relating to such matters should be conducted between the venue, the offending party / parties and the authorities.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FACT SHEET CAREFULLY

At Revolution Paintball, participants will receive full instruction and supervision from trained and uniformed referees.

At Revolution Paintball, every player will be issued with a full head helmet that incorporates the latest in goggle technology. These unique goggles have anti-fog lenses and provide full protection of the entire face.

Paintballs can sometimes bruise the skin. Players may come home with harmless bruises; however the introduction of body armour now allows everyone to play in comfort and with full protection. The activity is far safer than football and rugby, for example. We have never had anyone suffer from a broken bone – an occurrence that is sadly too common in many mainstream sports.

When playing paintball games, all people are equal; the game does not depend of physical prowess, strengths or stature. However, it is our practice to separate adolescent and adult groups. Nevertheless, the administration of events remains at the discretion of the center manager and she may, for example, permit one or two adults to participate in the adolescent's game or indeed allow adolescents to participate in an adult game, if appropriate in the circumstances.

Paintballs are gelatin skinned, and are designed to burst harmlessly on impact. They contain vegetable based “food colorant” which is water-soluble and will readily wash out of clothing. Participants should wear suitable footwear like a light boot with ankle support and grip (such as a "Timberland" boot)  but old trainers are most commonly worn. Protective gloves are recommended and are available for purchase at the site.

People of a timid nature may not enjoy the activity as much as sporty, tree-climbing kids. Please use your discretion in deciding whether or not it would appeal to the particular individual.

The most important safety rule is that all players must keep their goggles on and tightly adjusted at all times when in the game zones. If any player breaches this rule, for any reason whatsoever, they will be excluded from participating in the event – this rule is strictly enforced and exists to protect all players from a potentially serious injury.

When permitted by the law of the state, all players under 18 years of age need a “Age Declaration & Parental Consent Form” filled out by a parent/guardian and handed into our office before the start of play. We recommend you send these forms out at least one week in advance to ensure parents/guardians complete the form correctly and return it in time for any player to participate on game day.

Sounds fair enough?

Remember, it is vital that the required consent form is submitted to us on the day or you may be refused entry.

Download the consent form (.PDF format, 176kb) and complete it right in your web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox etc.) or in compatible software such as Adobe Acrobat or similar. Once complete you can print, sign and return the form in person. Alternatively, you can print the form as it is and complete it by hand.
